Jared Seletsky

Jared Seletsky is a photographer working across film and digital, with a focus on street, portraiture, fashion, and landscape. His practice is rooted in a deep curiosity about people and place, shaped by years of exploration in Philadelphia, New York, Tokyo, Mexico City, and Paris. Jared’s early experience as a darkroom and studio lab assistant honed his technical eye and commitment to craft, resulting in images that are both spontaneous and meticulously composed.

A semester in Tokyo, studying under renowned photographer Shinya Watanabe, sharpened Jared’s sensitivity to urban life and portraiture. Later, while living in Mexico City, he turned his lens toward the city’s creative community, documenting local painters through his close friendship with Valerie Campos, and creating intimate portraits of ballet dancers, designers, and artists that highlight the vibrancy of the scene.

In parallel with his personal work, Jared has built extensive experience as a retoucher, contributing to campaigns and editorials for URBN, BHLDN, and ELLE México, refining his skills in high-end post-production and editorial standards.
